MITCHELL Jeff has over twenty years of experience in accounting and transactional based work. He has extensive background in both acquisitions and divestitures within the construction, retail and manufacturing industries. Jeff has held many executive positions, in both private and public companies, including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Tax Director, Controller, and Director of Mergers and Acquisitions. Jeff manages Mackinac Partners’ buy-side and sell-side merger and acquisition engagements. He regularly advises clients on financial due diligence, purchase price negotiations, and post-merger integration matters. Jeff is also very active in representing lenders providing Debtor-In-Possession financing. He has also provided strategic advisory services to a lumber manufacturing company and served as the primary financial officer for a timeshare resort operator undergoing a Chapter 11 orderly liquidation. Prior to joining Mackinac Partners, Jeff was President of Encompass Mechanical Services North Florida, a $28 million mechanical and plumbing construction and services operation with over 265 employees. Before his term as President, Jeff worked for Encompass Services Corp. as Director of Acquisitions Development and Integration where he was responsible for the due diligence efforts on over eighty acquisitions. Jeff also worked on Encompass’ (formerly known as Group Maintenance America Corp.) first acquisition in 1997 and assisted in its Initial Public Offering in the same year. Jeff was involved in all aspects of Encompass’ acquisitions including due diligence, final document review and negotiations, financial assurance, financial SEC reporting, and insurance related matters. Prior to his experience with Encompass, Jeff held several executive management positions including Controller for a $100 million retail building materials company; Vice President and Controller for an $80 million long-haul transportation company; Vice President, Director and Chief Financial Officer of a manufacturer of specialty refractory products; and Tax Director for a publicly traded environmental waste company. Jeff began his career and worked for Arthur Andersen for nine years. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Alabama and received a Masters in Tax Accounting from the University of Alabama.  Jeff is also a Certified Public Accountant.
