Nishant has diverse experience in restructuring and turnaround consulting. Nishant has participated on numerous due diligence teams, providing analytical and financial modeling support for mergers and acquisitions and restructuring and turnaround transactions. His expertise in complex financial analysis and business valuations spans multiple industries and business sectors. Nishant's ability to efficiently analyze problems and develop pragmatic solutions helps to stabilize situations and restore control.
While at Mackinac Partners, Nishant has worked wth distressed companies in Chapter 11 and in out-of-court restructurings. His understanding of bankruptcy procedures, along with this expertise in financial analysis and business modeling makes him an integral part of the restructuring team. Nishant has worked extensively within the vacation ownership industry. He has been responsible for developing cash management analyses, business valuations, and scenario models to support disclosure statements and other long-term plans. Nishant has actively worked with investment bankers on sell-side engagements to prepare comprehensive packages for prospective buyers.
Nishant has also played a key role on numerous transactions with Brier Mackinac Realty Partners. His real estate background and portfolio valuation skills allow him to expeditiously model and evaluate large portfolios of real estate assets for high profile transactions, such as IndyMac Bank. Nishant has also served as an asset manager for various lenders and properties in receivership. He has been responsible for managing daily operations, stabilizing assets, restoring value and developing exit strategies.
Prior to Mackinac Partners, Nishant served as a Financial Analyst for a leading supplier to the manufactured housing industry. Nishant was instrumental in developing a comprehensive financial reporting portfolio and in managing the team responsible for upgrading the company's software system. Nishant also served as the corporate liaison to the company's outlying plants. In this role, he was involved in developing various tools to enhance operational efficiency including implementing a plant-level bonus program which improved production efficiency and employee safety.
Nishant is a cum laude graduate from Purdue University. He is a member of The Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors and is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor.
