MITCHELL Michelle has over nine years of extensive financial and accounting experience and supports the financial operations of Mackinac portfolio companies and a wide variety of clients. She specializes in all aspects of financial accounting and reporting, as well as the development of accounting and cash management systems.   Prior to joining Mackinac Partners, Michelle was the Controller of Pazzaz, LLC, a franchise development company specializing in small space retail expansion across a variety of popular brands. In her leadership role, Michelle developed complete financial systems supporting the company’s pizza franchise operations that spanned three Midwestern states.  She was responsible for the Company’s accounting, financial management, cash management, financial reporting and payroll processes. Michelle was instrumental in the development of the Company’s business plan and in raising $5.7 million in growth capital.  Pazzaz is a Mackinac Partners portfolio company.   Michelle was previously the Controller for the Motor City Mechanics, the Detroit-based United Hockey League franchise. She began this position during the franchise’s infancy and as a result, her role included developing and implementing internal processes and systems supporting accounting, cash handling, credit card processing, merchandise sales, ticket sales, purchasing, and inventory control.   Preceding her roles with the Motor City Mechanics, Michelle was a General Manager of a promotional products company where she was responsible for the overall purchasing process. In this role, she successfully implemented new accounting and purchasing software systems that increased productivity and operating efficiencies. Michelle started her financial and accounting career as a Staff Accountant with Follmer Rudzewicz, PLC, obtaining general experience in manufacturing, real estate, construction and other industries.   Michelle graduated Summa Cum Laude from Walsh College and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Michigan (inactive). She is also a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor.
