Ron’s expertise spans the areas of restructuring, complex financing transactions, capital formation, mergers, acquisitions, and sale, disposition and liquidation transactions. Ron also has extensive business and operational experience, with a focus on cycle time reduction, human resource compliance, insurance, financial planning, tax planning and SEC reporting. Ron participates in Mackinac Partners’ corporate real estate asset management and restructuring activities. Prior to joining Mackinac Partners, Ron was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Ivanhoe Huntley Investment Company, LLC, a single and multi family development and construction company operating in Detroit, MI; Chief Financial Officer of Arthur Rutenberg Homes, a franchisor of residential construction companies in the states of Florida, South Carolina, and Alabama; Chief Financial Officer of Zaring National Corporation, a NASDAQ listed single-family development and construction company which operated in Cincinnati, OH, Indianapolis, IN, Nashville, TN, Louisville, KY, Raleigh, NC, and Charlotte, NC; and Chief Financial Officer of Dominion Homes, a single and multi-family development and construction company operating in Columbus OH, from its’ formation through and after its’ listing on NASDAQ. During his career at Dominion Homes, Ron was also involved in apartment and commercial development, construction, and related financing transactions. Ron began his career in 1969 with Coopers & Lybrand. During his tenure at Coopers & Lybrand, Ron developed an expertise in residential and commercial construction, manufacturing, mining, automotive re-manufacturing, product warehousing and distribution, and insurance industries. Leading acquisition and divesture teams for the clients served. Ron is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a BA degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.
