Senior Financial, M&A and Restructuring Executive Alan Bentley has Rejoined

Bloomfield Hills, MI – Sept 26, 2019 – Mackinac Partners (now Accordion), a leading operational turnaround, restructuring and financial advisory firm, announced that C. Alan Bentley, a former Partner and Senior Financial, M&A and Restructuring executive at Mackinac Partners has rejoined the firm as Senior Managing Director.

Bentley, who most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Diamond Resorts, Inc., a NYSE registered global resort and timeshare company prior to its acquisition by Apollo Global Management in a multi-billion dollar go-private transaction in 2016. Bentley also previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Diamond Resorts Europe, Ltd. In both roles, Bentley helped execute numerous mid-market acquisitions and integrations across North America and Europe, which helped the company achieve quadrupled revenue growth over an eight-year period and a more than 500% increase in EBITDA earnings.

Bentley led numerous restructuring transactions in his prior role with Mackinac Partners, including serving as a Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 Trustee in a large vacation ownership and land development bankruptcy case.  He has also served as an expert and fact witness in multiple litigation and bankruptcy cases.

Prior to Mackinac Partners, Bentley was a Managing Director for KPMG’s Southeastern Unites States Corporate Recovery Group. He has also held various C-level positions for distressed organizations in the retail and hospitality industries and spent over a decade in the accounting and financial services groups of Arthur Andersen & Co.
