Adam is an Associate with experience in corporate finance, integrated financial modeling, cash flow modeling and liquidity management, financial due diligence, corporate re-financings, revenue assessments, restructurings, bankruptcy schedules and processing, preparing and facilitating sales offerings, lender assessments, inventory assessments, fresh start accounting, forensic accounting, audit and controls.

Adam recently assisted the Chapter 11 Trustee for a $1 billion international fishing conglomerate in the preparation and sale of assets. Adam managed the virtual data room, executed financial diligence data requests, supported financial advisors of potential bidders and performed foreign site visits with potential buyers. He also created integrated three-statement financial models with monthly projections to forecast annual EBITDA and working capital at different sale close dates and product pricing assumptions.

Adam also provided financial advisory services in the refinancing of a $5 million sheet metal manufacturer where he developed three-statement financial model with pro-forma historical financial statements, adjusted EBITDA calculations, and cash flow projections. He prepared marketing materials, including offering memoranda, and interacted with potential lenders to refinance mortgage and business revolving facilities.

Adam assisted the Chief Restructuring Officer of a $200 million sporting goods distributor with the company’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy, developing detailed cash management modeling and bankruptcy reporting. He also assisted the court-appointed receiver of a 50-unit fast food restaurant franchisee where he analyzed short-term liquidity, developed a 13-week cash flow forecast, and prepared weekly cash reporting for the secured lender. Adam also analyzed short-term liquidity, cash receipts and disbursements and developed a 13-week cash flow forecast for a senior living facilities group.

Prior to joining Mackinac Partners, Adam served as an Associate Consultant, Turnaround & Restructuring for Development Specialists, Inc. (DSI) a boutique management consulting, turnaround and restructuring and financial advisory firm where he assisted in a variety of restructuring, bankruptcy and distressed-related corporate assignments.

Adam also previously served as an Audit Associate for Grant Thornton LLP in Chicago, where he assisted in the planning and execution of financial statement audits for public and private clients as well as performing controls testing. His select experience includes: Testing inventory and performing inventory control walkthroughs for a $9 billion private distributor and manufacturer of medical supplies; performing revenue testing for a $2 billion publicly traded tire manufacturer; leading development of planning procedures and auditing investments for a global financial services company; and assisting in the equity, management fee, and incentive fee testing for a large privately owned hedge fund sponsor.

Adam earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Accounting Science from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. He has also studied abroad at the ESCP Europe Business School in Paris, France. Adam is a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois.
