Alex is an analyst with strong experience in financial analysis and modeling, credit risk management, financing and lending, equity transactions, cash management and cash flow analysis, and recapitalizations and loan modifications to support restructuring, acquisitions and new growth.
As an associate for a large global investment firm, Alex assisted in the analysis, structuring, negotiation and documentation of fund level, management company and company financings including deal closings and transactions that involved fund level financing, guarantees and LOC’s.
Alex also provided maintenance of the firm’s loan portfolio including coordination of borrowing requests and pay down notices, borrowing base modeling for fund level financings, delivery of compliance requirements and management of three internal co-investment leverage programs, including onboarding and all daily operational requirements.
Alex also has significant experience in equity portfolio credit risk including risk assessments, evaluation and trade analysis, counterparty selection and credit approvals, execution and settlements, and working with investment banking companies to deliver new global financial solutions for clients as well as funds. Alex has provided daily cash management for all equity portfolios, including reconciliation and sweeps into invested market funds.
Alex previously worked as a Debt analyst at Goldman, Sachs & Co in Dallas where he provided support to deal teams, legal representatives and the loan servicing to help ensure transactions were settled to a high standard of accuracy and control. Alex helped provide risk assessments, client service, and also identified and helped implement enhanced processes and methods to reduce risk, and enhance controls and timeliness.
Alex interned with Wells Fargo Capital Finance where he assisted the Channel Finance Department in the underwriting of new credit facilities for domestic and international companies, performed financial and collateral analysis, and completed comprehensive credit reviews and loan modifications for existing borrowers. As an intern, Alex also processed financial analysis and synthesized reporting to assist in the acquisition of a large Asset Based Loan firm.
Alex graduated with a B.A. in Finance from the Neeley School of Business, Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, where he also was a member of the TCU Financial Management Association and Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization.
