Andrew is a Director with considerable expertise in financial analysis, due diligence, corporate finance and accounting, cash flow modeling, financial analysis including LBO, DCF, APV, and M&A Comps, credit and debt instruments, sell-side and buy-side valuations, merger and acquisition transactions, joint ventures, capital raising, trading valuations and assessments, economic and statistical analysis, and operational and engineering efficiency management.
Andrew has significant experience producing client business plans, detailed operating models and financial projections, including valuations and sensitivity analyses, confidential information memorandums and investor pitch books. He also has considerable experience in the evaluation of companies, investments, and trading and risk management holdings for both private equity and hedge fund clients, including pre-acquisition, pre-sale and joint ventures assessments.
Andrew recently provided detailed analysis on a joint venture project for a large natural gas storage provider with total capital requirements of $230 million as part of a large private equity energy infrastructure fund. He also helped facilitate an international deal for the sale and purchase of a regional shipping interest.
Andrew also implemented a relative value trading strategy platform for a hedge fund with $275 million in assets under management. The model analyzed macro-economic trends across a variety of asset classes including: equities, commodities, currencies, credit and interest rates, helping investors assess strategic trade positions on a relative value basis.
Andrew also helped lead the assessment and valuation of a $1 billion oil and gas company based in Alaska. Andrew performed calculated due diligence steps to accurately forecasted lease operating expenses, drilling and non-drilling capital expenses, production and reserve data, taxes and tax credits, debt schedules, and other operational assessments to help sell-side investment bankers and consultants prepare a valuation proposal and secured the terms of a credit agreement for an asset bid.
Prior to Mackinac Partners, Andrew worked as an Energy Investment Analyst for Energy Management, a private energy company in Boston where he helped identify and assess new investment opportunities across energy markets including natural gas and renewables. He has also interned as a Trading analyst for Frontlight Capital, where he helped developed a platform to help the fund capitalize on specific relative value trading strategies, and as a Private Equity Associate for Caelus Energy in Dallas. He also served as interim Director of Logistics and Consumer Finance for the innovative Solar venture company Smartflower. Andrew has also served as a Subsea and Marine engineer for Seadrill Americas in South Korea and Transocean Ltd of Switzerland.
Andrew received his MBA in Finance from Boston University Questrom School of Business and his Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Buzzards Bay, MA. He is an IADC Certified Subsea Engineer and Licensed Marine Engineer (United States Coast Guard Unlimited Tonnage License), and has served as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Navy Reserves as Lieutenant.View Other Professionals
