Ben is an Associate with considerable expertise in financial analysis, due diligence, corporate finance, cash flow modeling, and buy-side/M&A transactions. Ben has experience performing in-depth analysis and planning to support M&A deal targeting and execution, including company valuations, purchase assessments, confidential information memorandums, origination, deal structure, performance modeling, and post-closing integration plans.
Ben recently assisted with sixteen M&A transactions for a business services and investment firm in the medical industry including deal sourcing, financial modeling, transaction structuring, due diligence, and deal closing and integration activities. Ben also led M&A activity for an affiliated business unit to expand into ancillary specialty medical services.
Ben has strong company valuation and financial performance assessment experience. He has developed company performance, investment returns and financial analysis reporting for numerous private equity invested companies/holdings. He has evaluated hundreds of CIMs and acquisition opportunity candidates, including development of investment memorandums and comp assessments in support of a mid-size private equity firm. Ben has also presented reports, memorandums, and presentations related to both acquisitions and potential acquisitions to senior management.
Ben played a key role in the assessment and acquisition of a Managed Document Services company, including acquisition analysis and assessments, business development efforts, and coordination of go-forward operational activities with the targeted company’s finance and management team. Ben also assessed the potential acquisition of an IT Consulting Services firm, including assessing the relevant consulting industry market and various targeted company’s financial performance, market, capabilities and client base.
Prior to joining Mackinac Partners, Ben served as a Corporate Development Analyst for American Dental Partners in Wakefield, MA, where he helped the company assess and complete new acquisitions and integrate affiliates into the firm’s financial and operational services and technology platform. Ben also served as a Private Equity Analyst for Riveria Investment Group in New York, assessing many buy-out and growth stage acquisition opportunities across the consumer products, retail, manufacturing, business services, healthcare, and technology sectors.
