Bennett is an Analyst with experience in financial analysis, due diligence, financial modeling, business assessments, entity valuations, LBO analysis, cash flow modeling and analysis, profitability/EBITDA analysis, and lender and investor buy and sell-side materials including CIM’s, management presentations, pitch decks and strategic assessments/analysis.
Bennett recently provided financial analysis, business assessment and advisory for 20 companies across the consumer products sector for a mid-size equity stakeholder. Bennett developed strategic alternatives and economics, including M&A, divestiture and equity raise strategies. He developed associated marketing materials including CIM’s, management presentations, buyer outreach and associated due diligence. Bennett also developed forecast models including valuation analysis, discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, LBO analysis, earnout scenarios and proceeds analysis.
Bennett provided advisory service to the lender of a digitally native men’s apparel brand. He worked closely with the Company’s senior management team to develop, validate, and refine a cash flow forecast analysis. He also assisted in the composition of a qualitative report to the Company’s lender.
Bennett provided sell-side advisory support services for a provider of premium thematic food gifts. He worked closely with management to produce a financial projection model and a detailed CIM. He served as the primary point of contact for over 75 potential acquirers during the initial marketing phase. He also developed a transaction model to help the management team evaluate the pros and cons of various proposed transaction structures.
Bennett also provided sell-side advisory service to an omni-channel retailer of women’s apparel. He worked with the Company’s sponsor and management team to create a pro forma forecast model and a CIM that conveyed the strengths of the brand. He handled marketing outreach and associated diligence requests for over 30 potential acquiring parties.
Prior to joining Mackinac Partners, Bennett served as an Investment Banking Analyst in Duff & Phelps Consumer and Retail M&A practice in Los Angeles where he provided advisory and developed deal-based deliverables for companies facing strategic changes including M&A and divestiture scenarios. Bennett also previously worked as an Investment Banking Analyst intern for Duff & Phelps where he provided M&A deal support and deliverables for companies across the health care, aerospace/defense and consumer products sectors. Bennett also served in internship roles with H.I.G. Capital as well as Fifteen Group, a real estate private investment firm in Miami.
Bennett graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Finance from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business in Los Angeles. He was also a USC exchange student and studied at the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar, Germany.
Bennett also served as a USC Marshall School of Business LINC student ambassador and traveled to Budapest to meet with various companies and learn more about their international business strategies. Bennett holds FINRA series 63 and 79 certifications.View Other Professionals
