Bill is an Associate with experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, due diligence, portfolio and business unit performance assessments, cash flow modeling, economic-based assessments, risk analysis, investment analysis and related business proposals.
Bill has also conducted market, company and fund/instrument assessments and provided investment reporting for a boutique asset manager. Bill performed detailed industry and company research on debt and equity instruments that fit clients’ risk profiles and presented analysis to the firm’s investment committee. He also provided support and assisted with trading activities.
Bill has taken courses at both the graduate level and from prominent industry providers focused on financial modeling (Three-Statement, DCF, LBO, M&A) and has developed custom VBA and SQL-based programs that automate client trading opportunities, and report on deviations in client performance.
Bill developed excel workbooks and macros that streamlined the process for organizing and presenting portfolio information including performance, positioning, attribution, and risk statistics, doubling the efficiency for a global asset manager. He also researched, analyzed and monitored macro and microeconomic trends across five fixed key income strategies to produce client reports detailing individual drivers of portfolio performance and positioning.
Prior to joining Mackinac Partners, Bill served as an Analyst for Wellington Management in Boston where he performed detailed analysis on several fixed income strategies to create custom client presentations and support portfolio managers and product management. Bill also served as Research Assistant for Allegiant Private Advisors where he developed and maintained earnings and financial models, conducted fund and investment research, performed market analysis, and presented investment opportunities and market updates to the investment committee.
Bill earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business. He also served as a Captain for the UF Swimming team, earning four annual SEC Academic Honor Roll achievements and helping earn 3 SEC championships. Bill earned a Master’s in International Business with a concentration in Finance from the University of Florida’s Hough Graduate School of Business. Bill is also currently pursuing a Chartered Financial analyst designation.View Other Professionals
