Carl is an Associate with experience in financial analysis, due diligence, financial modeling, entity valuations, business assessments, management presentations, lender and investor materials and buy- and sell-side M&A transactions.

Carl recently evaluated and provided analyses on more than 30 businesses across the consumer products, food & beverage, business services, industrials, automotive aftermarket and healthcare industries for a global middle market investment bank, leading to the completion of six sell-side M&A transactions and one debt capital raise.

Carl provided sell-side advisory services for a provider of residential water filtration and softening systems. He worked with management to produce pro forma forecast models for sales and margin analyses by channel and served as the primary point of contact for 50 potential acquirers during the initial marketing phase.

Carl also assisted in the sell-side transaction of a producer of frozen mini stuffed bagels, pancakes and egg bites for the retail and foodservice channels. He created financial analyses that quantified scalable margins, increased product velocity and projected growth in grocery accounts to maximize a run-rate valuation. He also provided financial analysis and business assessment support to the client’s internal team throughout the sale process.

Carl also provided sell-side advisory services for a manufacturer and supplier of secure storage and home organization products. He created financial analyses and authored marketing materials to convey key investment considerations and growth opportunities. Carl hosted on-site due diligence meetings, working with management to facilitate discussions and address inquiries from potential acquirers.

Prior to Mackinac Partners, Carl served as an Investment Banking Associate in the Consumer Group of Lincoln International, a global investment bank specializing in M&A, debt advisory, private capital raising, restructuring, joint ventures and partnering.

Carl also previously served as an Investment Banking Analyst for Amherst Partners, where he conducted valuations, industry analysis, company and financial analyses, and developed offering memorandums and company presentations in support of M&A transactions.

Carl earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and a Master of Business Administration from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame. Carl has held FINRA Series 63 and 79 licenses.
