Todd J. Zelek

Todd provides a wealth of experience advising clients on M&A activities, capital raising, restructuring and value enhancing strategy development. He has over 30 years of business experience as an operator, investor, director, financial advisor and investment banker crossing many industries including: Technology, Media, Financial Services, Real Estate, Business Services, Oil and Gas, Fitness and Agriculture. During his nearly twenty years as an Investment Banker, he headed investment banking practice groups for both Lehman Brothers and Salomon Brothers.
In the last ten years, Todd has been active with both public and private companies. On the public company side, he was Chairman and CEO of Cavitation Technologies Inc, an industrial technology company with a significant patent portfolio and customers worldwide. While there, he negotiated marketing and technology agreements with two major European companies as well as arranging a significant long term funding commitment from one of its partners. In 2012, Todd became an outside director at Agfeed, Inc. after fraud was uncovered in its Chinese hog farm operations. He led the Board’s effort to restructure the Company which culminated in the successful sale of both the US and Chinese operations.
On the private side, Todd was an original investor in Affordable Residential Communities which operated mobile home park communities throughout the US. He was an investor and operating partner of The Teton Club, a private residence club in Jackson Hole, WY. Todd led the buyout group that acquired Hamilton Pacific, a company that installed and serviced electronic security products and vaults for large financial institutions. After doubling revenue, the group sold Hamilton Pacific to Swiss security company Securitas AG. In addition, Todd has been a managing member of a number of LLCs including working interests in Oil and Gas production as well as a designer and marketer of a line of unique fitness products.
Todd was formerly an investment banker and was a Managing Director, Internet Group Head and Co-Head of the Los Angeles investment banking office for Lehman Brothers. While at Lehman he headed the Internet Media and Services Group as well as leading the Emerging Growth Company effort for small to midsized companies. Prior to Lehman Brothers Todd spent seven years at Salomon Brothers and was a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group and head of the Thrift Industry practice focusing on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising. He began his investment banking career at Smith Barney in 1982. Prior to that, he was a software architect and consultant for Chase Econometrics in New York and Cambridge, MA.
Todd holds a master’s degree in Management from the Sloan School of Management at MIT and graduated with distinction from Cornell University where he was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa.View Other Professionals
