Firm Expands West Coast Operations and Restaurant Restructuring Practice Area
Bloomfield Hills, MI – Mackinac Partners, a leading turnaround and restructuring firm, announced today the promotion of Nishant Machado to Senior Managing Director. Machado’s promotion comes on the heels of the firm’s growth of its West Coast presence with an expanded office in Santa Monica, California.
Since joining the firm in 2006, Machado has served as CRO, CEO, CFO, COO and lead restructuring advisor to corporate management teams and equity sponsors across multiple industries. As a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA), Machado’s experience covers industry sectors that include financial services, manufacturing, leisure and hospitality, food and beverage, consumer products, real estate and homebuilding. Machado was also recognized by the M&A Advisor with the “40 Under 40” Service Award for his body of work and for his leadership in the restructuring and sale of Pacific Monarch Resorts to Diamond Resorts International.
“As a firm that has built its reputation on the hard work and critical thinking we provide our clients, Nishant’s promotion within our organization embodies that,” said Jim Weissenborn, Mackinac Partners’ Co-founder and Managing Partner. “Nishant continues to provide clients with tremendous value and is an asset to the firm. We are excited about his success in growing our West Coast practice and continue to support his efforts as we build on our track record”.
In addition to managing the day-to-day engagements of the firm’s West Coast operations, Machado is growing a core group of professionals in the company’s Santa Monica office who are actively supporting clients and have the opportunity to further diversify the company’s areas of expertise.
