Jake is an Associate with experience in financial planning, forecasting and analysis, cash flow modeling and forecasting, financial statement development and reporting, audit and accounting, liquidity management, asset monetization, liquidations, turnaround and restructuring and performance improvement.
Jake has provided turnaround, restructuring, financial advisory and audit services to numerous small to mid-size companies across a variety of sectors, including consumer and corporate lending, private equity, asset management, banking, subprime lending, real estate, industrial equipment rental, specialty maintenance, and household and office products supply.
Jake served as an interim controller for a $35M company in the construction industry throughout the turnaround efforts. His responsibilities included liquidity management, financial forecasts, budget vs. actual reporting, managing the borrowing base certificate, and acting as the liaison between the company and the lender. Jake also led a successful refinancing process for this company, securing a $4M revolving line of credit and an $8M term loan to help the company improve liquidity and capital.
Jake also provided financial advisory to the stakeholders of a $125M senior-secured lending company, providing third-party and independent analyses to the creditors and equity holders, and developing various scenarios of the company’s strategic options with associated forecasted results.
Jake provided financial advisory to a $25M household and office products distributor, including creation of a thirteen-week cash flow forecast, three-statement financial model, and analysis identifying slow-moving/obsolete inventory. These assets were monetized, giving the company sufficient liquidity to continue operations.
Jake has also served as an interim FP&A director for a company in the janitorial sector during a corporate transition period. Jake assisted the CFO in preparing financial forecasts while managing the pricing strategy process and FP&A process improvements which increased efficiencies.
Prior to joining Mackinac Partners, Jake served as an Associate with Novo Advisors, a boutique turnaround, restructuring and financial advisory firm where he assisted clients in profitability analysis, financial forecasts, budgeting and tracking, liquidity management and cash flow analysis, refinancing and lender negotiations/coordination, turnaround plans, asset valuations and liquidation analysis.
Jake also previously served as an Assurance Experienced Associate, Financial Services and Audit at PricewaterhouseCoopers with a specialization in banking and capital market sector clients.
Jake earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and Finance from Illinois State University in Normal, IL. He is a registered CPA in the state of Illinois.View Other Professionals
