Jenna is a Director with experience in turnaround and restructuring, financial modeling and analysis, due diligence, operations and Quality of Earnings assessments, entity valuations, business plan development, budgeting, cash flow and liquidity management, bankruptcy preparation and processing, procurement and inventory management, operations streamlining and risk management.
Jenna supported an international IT consulting firm for several years, including annual budget vetting, sell-side preparation and chapter 11 bankruptcy preparation. She generated weekly financial reporting for and vetted monthly presentations to the lending group and debugged monthly cash flow forecasts prepared by the Company’s US and overseas FP&A teams. Her contributions gave the lending group transparency into the Company’s performance and helped identify immediate potential liquidity crunches for management, which in turn helped the Company maintain lender credibility and gave management confidence in their short-term plans, respectively.
After conducting several operations assessments on and preparing a cash flow forecast for a frozen food manufacturer, Jenna worked closely with the Company’s executive management team for several months to control cash, maintain stable lender relations and prepare liquidation analyses. Jenna was instrumental in correcting inaccurate accounts receivable practices that artificially inflated the Company’s collateral base that were unknown to management and the lender, and was also instrumental in identifying overtime and machine capacity constraints that would frustrate achieving sales and EBITDA forecasts.
Jenna consulted for a steel fabricator who was suffering tight liquidity and lender threats; after meeting with management and reviewing the Company’s financials, Jenna rapidly identified that the highest impact and fastest remedies were to both introduce immediate discipline into uncontrolled inventory building and to rationalize unfinanced cash support to a European division. With Jenna’s analytic assistance, the Company quickly rationalized its SKU base and started providing working capital guidance to its overseas finance and operations teams.
Jenna worked for a patio furniture manufacturer that the lender and majority equity owner were considering closing due to unprofitability and significant levels of slow-moving inventory. Jenna prepared a cash flow forecast with multiple scenarios, which included helping the operations and finance teams develop a purchasing and inventory conversion forecast, which the Company did not previously have. Jenna then developed several liquidation scenarios, which informed the stakeholders’ decision to ultimately write-off a large inventory segment, finance the purchase of new components to complete existing work-in-process and sell otherwise scrap/obsolete raw materials and finished goods.
Prior to joining Mackinac Partners, Jenna served as an Associate for Phoenix Management Services, a boutique turnaround management, restructuring and growth and capital financial advisory firm where she assisted clients with turnaround, bankruptcy, restructuring and performance improvement initiatives across a range of industries.
Jenna also previously served as a consultant for KDFA, a risk advisory and services consultancy based in Boston, where she assisted clients with contract negotiation, operations and finance-related risk management and transaction due diligence
