Kyle is a Director with 15 years of experience managing distressed public and private companies through turnarounds and restructurings, including Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court workouts for large restaurant/retail chains,  insurance, energy and manufacturing companies and real estate portfolios.

He has restaurant expertise encompassing all aspects of financial and capital structure management, including comprehensive cash flow forecasting, working capital management, restaurant-level and consolidated company budgeting/reporting, and other key areas to guide critical and strategic decision-making.

From an operational standpoint, he also contributed to the successful implementation of detailed concept turnaround plans, new advertising/promotion strategies, incremental revenue sources, customer loyalty programs, cost management/outsourcing initiatives, new standard operating procedures, and disposition of non-core/non-performing assets, among a vast array of other performance improvements.

Recently, Kyle also managed the successful fast-track §363 sale process of an industry-leading developer and manufacturer of alternative energy systems. Beginning the engagement only two weeks before a Chapter 11 filing was needed protect liquidity and fund payroll for all employees, Kyle was able to quickly and effectively determine the financing need to keep the company operating as a debtor-in-possession with minimal disruption to the business as it ramped up production under tight deadlines and also maintained a strict development timeline for a new, transformational product line.

These circumstances precipitated not only substantial working capital requirements, but also efficient utilization of constrained corporate resources and careful trade negotiations with critical sole source suppliers throughout the bankruptcy proceeding. The sale transaction allowed for a complete debt restructuring for 100% recovery to secured lenders, provided the financial foundation for re-positioning and enhancing the underlying business, and assured the retention of over 100 high paying jobs in engineering and skilled manufacturing in the US, with existing tenure and benefits.

Previously, Kyle provided cash flow management and Chapter 11 case administration services to a privately-owned developer and operator of luxury vacation ownership properties in the US and Mexico. His work was instrumental in preparing the company to operate under bankruptcy protection, sell substantially all of its assets, and reorganize with its remaining assets to maximize the recovery to its unsecured and under-secured creditors.

Kyle also served in Investment Banking and Capital Markets positions with Jefferies & Company in New York. While at Jefferies, Kyle worked on a wide range of transactions for growing and mid-sized companies and developed extensive valuation and complex financial modeling expertise on numerous sell-side M&A transactions, and as lead underwriter for initial public offerings and follow-on equity offerings.

Kyle earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a B.A. in Economics with a minor in Spanish from UT’s College of Liberal Arts. He is also a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).
