Wesley is a Director with considerable experience in financial analysis, due diligence, corporate capital allocation, debt financing, and buy-side M&A transactions. Wesley has strong experience executing a variety of transactions, including: LBO’s, mergers & acquisitions, refinancings and restructurings. He has experience with middle-market companies, ranging from $20 million to over $500 million in revenues, across many sectors including industrial manufacturing, distribution, business services, and industrial technology.
Wesley has advised clients and portfolio companies on strategic planning, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and capital structure optimization. Wesley has extensive experience performing in-depth company valuations, building detailed operating and cash flow models, assessing industry and competitive landscapes, identifying acquisition target companies and associated revenue and cost synergies, performing due diligence, and executing M&A transactions.
Prior to joining Mackinac Partners, Wesley served as an Associate with The Watermill Group, a middle-market private equity firm where he evaluated and executed investment opportunities primarily across industrial manufacturing, distribution, and business service companies. While at Watermill, Wesley helped execute the acquisition of Cooper & Turner, a manufacturer and distributor of high-strength industrial fasteners headquartered in Sheffield, England with global operations across Europe, China, and the United States.
Wesley also helped execute the strategic add-on acquisition of Experi-Metal, a manufacturer of highly engineered, metal-formed prototype and low-volume production automotive parts, for existing Watermill platform investment, Quality Metalcraft. Wesley also helped refinance three portfolio companies and assisted in the sale and exit of an existing portfolio company investment.
Prior to the Watermill Group, Wesley served as an Associate for JMC Capital Partners where he helped execute a platform acquisition strategy for investments in industrial product and technology companies within highly fragmented industries. While at JMC, Wesley helped execute 4 add-on acquisitions, 2 portfolio company refinancings, and a complex corporate carveout of a business unit within an existing platform investment.
Wesley began his career as an Analyst at NewStar Financial where he provided senior debt financing for a variety of middle-market leveraged transactions, assisting in over 40 transactions across 10 different sectors, totaling more than $400MM in committed capital.
Wesley earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a dual concentration in Accounting and Finance from The Boston University School of Management. He played defense on the Boston University Club Ice Hockey team. In his spare time, Wesley enjoys golf, hockey, crossfit, and travel.View Other Professionals
